Newly launched terrorism related thriller ’26/11′ started on a low note – with just 1,200 tuning in at 21:00 for the debut episode. ‘Savdhaan India – India Fights Back’ was the second most watched show on the channel. The repeat slot at 18:30 also had an impressive 38,400 – more than the original slot. ‘Amrit Manthan’ had an audience of 36,100 at 20:30 last night. The drama, which is aired weekday evenings at 20:30 and repeated the following day at 18:30 had the largest viewership yesterday (26th November), according to exclusive obtained by BizAsia from Attentional. Star Life Ok’s ‘Amrit Manthan’ remained the channel driver despite a slew of new shows launched recently. Star Utsav will not be replaced by another service, instead Star TV UK will focus on its core three channels – Star Plus (and HD), Star Gold (and HD) and Star Bharat. It is expected, Star Plus UK will continue with its afternoon strand in which it re-runs popular Star Plus shows. The channel, which launched in 2015 was known to re-run popular shows from the Star TV library. Star Utsav has been earmarked for closure for several weeks after disappointing viewing figures.
The news has been confirmed by Star TV UK. Star TV UK will be closing down its underperforming channel, Star Utsav this week.ī can exclusively confirm that Star Utsav will go off-air on Thursday 4th January 2018.
